Description:
Route planning and navigation:plan th most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while considering factors such as traffic road conditions and weather. Utilise GPS systems and maps to navigate unfamiliar locations.Documentation and record keeping:maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, delivery times and any incidents or accidents that occur during transporting. Complete transportation related paperwork, such as biils of loading and delivery receipts
Communication and collaboration:communicate effectively wth dispatchers, warehouse personnel and customers to coordinate pick up and delivery schedules, provide updates on progress and address any issues or concerns that may arise.
Vehicle maintance:perform basic maintenance tasks such as checking and replenishing fluids, inspecting tyres and ensuring overall cleanliness and functionality of th truck. Arrange for scheduled maintenance and repairs as needed.
Compliance with regulations:stay up to date with transportation regulations, including those related to hours of service, hazardous materials and weight limits, adhere to company policies and procedures as well as state and local laws governing transportation
